Health is a journey we embark on every day. I have taken small steps to improve my health and they helped me fill my cup positively.
Small steps I have practiced that have worked in making my health easier:
Eating habits:
Sitting down for meals helps support digestion and mindfulness.
Include vegetable one or two spoons until you can add more every day.
Always carry a water bottle throughout your day to keep hydrated.
Relationships:
Share with someone close about your day.
Connect with someone close to you regularly.
Always practice listening to others with full attention.
Volunteering or helping others.
Self-care
Always make sleep a priority. Aim to sleep for 7 hours.
Breathing, meditation, or simply taking the time to have tea or quiet time.
Brushing your teeth and flossing improves dental hygiene.
Scrub your body with a dry brush or damp hot towel to increase circulation.
Simply take time to care for yourself in a way that gives you joy and happiness.
Mindset
Do activities that make you laugh more or spend time around people who make you laugh.
If you feel stressed, breathe for a few minutes and drink water.
Write down an empowering statement and read it every day.
Take time to think about your day and find things you are grateful for.
Movement
Any movement during the day, whether walking the dog, cleaning a space in the house, or simply standing up every 30-60 minutes, are ways to move your body.
Challenge yourself to exercise for 10 minutes and increase the time as you make it a habit.
Organize
Make your bed in the morning as soon as you leave.
Make your workspace enjoyable by putting things in place and inviting for work every day.
Add plants into your space to improve oxygen and life in your environment.
Turn off electronics before bed at least an hour before bed.
